i was very dissapointed in this game. new controles, AWFUL CAMERA. nothing compared to the precursor legacy. i've played jak since it came out, when i was in first grade, i quickly became obsessed. the precursor legacy, Jak II, Jak 3. I loved them all. how they evolved into something amazing, how the story and environment changed so well together. this was the ultimate game for me. i wasen't such a fan of the Jak X, but i knew they could do better. this was such a dissapointment.

All jak 4 fans,as of now NaughtyDog has given up the Jak series to High Impact Games and Nihilistic Software to work on Uncharted,and by the looks of things,they arn't going back.Us fans still love the jak series,and want to see more of them.They misunderstood us by letting HighImpactGames make the lost frontier.What made that game horrible was,it simply wasn't madeby NaughtyDog!If we truely want another great jak game,message me so we can come up with a great plot and sendit to them ourselves!

Jak and Daxter: The Precurser Legacy was, and still is amazing! This looks not so great, prehaps a decent game to play for a week or two to relive some memories and the friendship between Jak & Daxt and maybe a couple of missions/objectives whatever they're called in this franchise now. As much as I love the Uncharted franchise, after Uncharted 3 I want ND to make a Jak and Daxter game as good as the first then return to Uncharted :)))

Does anyone else feel that this game was pointless? When I first saw it, I thought it would show how Jak truly became known as Mar - that it would show him traversing both the past and future melding eco to make the world a better place or some such. I don't know exactly what the legend itself is, but this game had nothing to do with the whole Mar ordeal, and the only thing I liked was the flashback to Jak 2 with Jak being strapped to the table infused with dark eco. Other than that, pointless.

i thought this game was good. it brought back the upgradable green, blue, red, and yellow eco powers that the very first game had, which was cool, and the flight battles were ok as well, but i was disappointed when they got rid of dark and light jak. naughty dog should create a new one for the ps3

@itom85 Nah man, after being imprisoned and tortured into being turned into the ultimate weapon by being pumped with dark eco, i don't blame Jak for being pissed and wanting to do anything to kill Praxis. That game was my favorite of the series, and I think it is far better than any Ratcher and Clank game, even though I enjoyed that series too. After Jak 3 though, they just got worse and worse.

to b honest, it reminded me way to much of Ratchet and Clank. it reminds me of Ratchet Deadlocked. I thought Dark Daxter was cool, but thhhey made him do the same thing every time! The graphics wuld b awesome, if this was a Ratchet and Clank game. Sony made a HUGE mistake in letting HIG create this game. they shuld have left Naughty Dog to make it. every game Naughty Dog has made was awesome! they shuld remake this game. i give his game a 6.5

@shadowoftiger116 A LOT. The camera is way better, and the controls are the traditional style. In the PSP version the controls are really clunky because of how the guns and eco powers are selected. It also alienated previous Jak players because the control scheme was very different. They fixed both issues by putting back all returning controls to their original buttons on the PS2, and the new controls were mapped out better thanks to the increase in button amount. Basically; it's a lot better.

Finding this review and and realizing the issues with the game really disappointing me, but luckily that doesn't matter because Jak 1, 2 and especially 3 were absolutely awesome! X and 4 weren't really necessary... When I said especially 3 I mean that it was one of the most fun games I have ever played! My personal top 2 or 3!

what was wrong with this game: the story was crappy and poorly put together, the camera was just awkward (even on ps2 with two joysticks), your gun upgrades weren't anything awesome like in previous games. there's nothing special about the aerial combat what-so-ever it's like playing an old flying game on your ps1, you solve the same kind of puzzles as dark daxter the THREE times you play as him. this game was garbage and i'll never consider it part of an awesome game series like jak and daxter.

@petplatypus you don't seem to know about the gaming industry that well. other companies can make games about series that are owned by another company. they have to pay in order to do this. the Jak and Daxter patent belongs to NaughtyDog. not highimpactgames. they are just allowed to play around with it. mind you, they can't do whatever the hell they want. they have to clear the storyline with the original owner to make it consistent within the series.

Its highly likely though. after the lost frontier came, fans have been nagging NaughtyDog for a new jak game more than normal.

Discover a treasure and go look for it, bad guys also want treasure, find out said treasure will ruin the world if bad guy gets it. creepy monsters appear. treasure turns out to be the reson for creepy monsters. prevent treasure from leaving its resting place. yay plot! -__- give the fans what they want naughtydog. UC3 can wait.

@tippytop7 they're the same. but one of the issues everyone had with it on psp is uncontrollable camera angles. I preferred the ps2 version. then again, I rather play a game on a big screen then a tiny one :P

@gothips of course it IS a greek song written by Thanos Mikroutsikos, one of Greece's most famous composers and originally sang by Haris Alexiou under the title "Mia pista apo fosforo" of course with many other performances by many other artists especially foreigners like the italian Milva, the great Sezen Aksu etc. Personally i find Duman's version to be the best of all. I REALLY think "The JAK Collection" should be made for PS3. All 3 Jak adventures on one blu-ray disc in HD and with trophies. Adding Jak X into the collection wouldn't hurt.
