Victoria tells the story of blind, thoughtless patriotism by the oppressed poor in Victorian England. "I was born, lucky me", "though I'm poor, I am free" "where the rich were so mean, stately homes, croquet lawns", "when I grow, I shall fight". They weren't much for publicity stunts and outrageous behavior like the Stones so their "acclaim" factor suffered but their music speaks for itself . Seriously, stop it with the bull shit about propaganda. Every country teaches their children a biased form of history, it only makes sense to do so. As an American, I can tell you very clearly that not all that we are taught is Pro U.S. We know the atrocities that our forefathers committed, but we also know the atrocities that other nations have dealt aswell. i.e. Nazi Germany, Communist Russia, Communist China, Spain under the inquisition, and so on. There is no unbiased form of history.
